When we created a vDisk using the wizard (connected to one of the PVS servers), the vDisk was created at both servers and not just the one we connected to! I ran into the exact same error when trying to switch from private to standard mode. The connection is closed. I will check if i can reproduce the issue here in my lab enviroment. My username is domain admin and is member of the PVS admin group that i specified under installation. I'm also running 5.1. Also don't understand how I'll be able to re-clone my master image without having to re-arm each time? WE gave the new computer Account (we installed PVS 5.1 on a new machine) db_owner rights.

When booted the target devices may not register with KMS immediately. Turning the licensing to none got rid of that error message for me. I've followed several suggestions, reloaded the image in private mode, re-armed per others' instructions, shut it down, changed it back to shared, re-eneabled KMS and same problem. See if this resolves the issue....if it does hotfix 19 should resolve the issue using the remote PVS console.
