I deleted the Solaris partition using the XP bootable CD because Solaris stopped working (even its liveCD stuck when loading windowing system). Some more clarifications: My OS menu before deletion was Grub. and shows your files.. I presume you deleted the Solaris partition from disk management in XP, right? Try correcting this issue by running the below chkdsk command to find and repair any errors.
I've read that a CHKDSK will do it, but because the volume can't be read, CHKDSK just hangs the whole system (unless it doesnt have any output, do you know?). This error indicates that the computer is unable to read from the hard drive and could be an indication of a serious hard drive corruption or failure. Not much unusual there. All Rights Reserved.
